That’s Amar Hordatt-Reece.

In O’ Bitch-uary!, Amar plays Rahim — George Spelvin’s secret lover — a character whose arrival sends shockwaves through an already wildly dysfunctional memorial gathering. And trust me… Rahim’s presence changes everything. 👀⚱️

Amar has exploded onto the acting scene recently and has already been turning heads since our last showcase. It’s easy to see why. He brings intelligence, commitment, emotional honesty, and a magnetic calm to every scene he’s in.

After also shooting demo reel work opposite the incredibly talented Pavey Taing, one thing became crystal clear: Amar is hungry to learn, eager to grow, and completely committed to the craft.

But what really sets him apart is the depth he brings to his characters.

Drawing from his background in psychology and sociology, Amar approaches performance with genuine curiosity about human behavior and emotional complexity. He doesn’t just play scenes — he studies people. And that layered approach gives Rahim an authenticity that makes the comedy hit even harder.

So when Logan Martin stepped into the role of Maisie, I found myself writing one of the most personal moments in O’ Bitch-uary! — a story pulled directly from real life experiences and memories that have stayed with me for years.

What Logan did with that material was something truly special.

She took a deeply personal story and made it entirely her own, bringing a level of vulnerability, sincerity, and emotional honesty that quietly lingers long after the scene ends. In the middle of all the outrageous comedy and chaos, Logan delivers a moment that grounds the film with genuine heart.

And somehow, she brought layers to it that I hadn’t even imagined when writing it.

Maisie reminds us that sometimes the smallest acts of kindness — especially from teachers and mentors — can shape the course of a young person’s life forever. Logan captured that beautifully.

There’s also something fitting about the color purple being tied so closely to her story. Traditionally, purple represents compassion, wisdom, sensitivity, creativity, and dignity — all qualities Logan naturally embodies both on screen and off. There’s a quiet strength in her work that draws you in without ever demanding attention.

In a film full of larger-than-life personalities, Logan gives us something deeply human.

And off camera? Shawn’s impact reached far beyond his scenes.

One of the most special parts of this production was watching Shawn and Jacob work together — not only on this short film, but also while developing their demo reel. What’s grown between them goes far deeper than scene work or performances. Shawn has truly taken Jacob under his wing, and witnessing that mentorship unfold has been one of the quiet gifts of this entire experience.

These are the kinds of core memories that shape careers, confidence, and lives.

From the moment I learned I’d have the opportunity to work with Pavey Taing, I knew exactly how I wanted to showcase her abilities. After working with her in scene study and helping develop her demo reel at Act With Purpose, it was clear she had something special — sharp instincts, emotional depth, impeccable timing, and a screen presence that quietly commands your attention.

What I didn’t fully anticipate? Just how perfectly she would anchor the beautifully unhinged world of O’ Bitch-uary! ⚱️😂

Pavey brought incredible spirit, focus, and professionalism to set every single day, helping establish the tone and atmosphere for the entire production. The kind of actor every director hopes for: prepared, collaborative, fearless, and always ready to play.

And while Elle may be doing her best to survive the madness surrounding George Spelvin’s memorial… let’s just say the universe — and this family — have other plans for her.

Get ready for some raucous laughs… even if a few come at poor Elle’s expense. 👀🔥
