Responsibilities
Develop and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate curriculum plans aligned with early childhood standards and best practices in preschool education.
Create a warm, welcoming classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and social interaction among children.
Manage daily classroom activities, including lesson planning, circle time, physical education, and hands-on learning experiences that incorporate literacy education and Montessori methods when applicable.
Monitor and support individual student progress through observation, assessment, and documentation; utilize standardized testing tools as needed to inform instruction.
Incorporate special education strategies and early intervention techniques to support children with diverse learning needs or developmental delays.
Foster positive behavior management strategies that promote respectful interactions and emotional regulation among students.
Collaborate with families through regular communication about their child's development, milestones, and any concerns related to child welfare or classroom behavior.
Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, lesson plans, and compliance with licensing requirements for childcare or daycare settings.
Qualifications
Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare environments; prior classroom management experience is essential.
Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, early intervention strategies, literacy education techniques, and math instruction suitable for preschoolers.
Familiarity with curriculum development frameworks such as Montessori or other early childhood education models.
Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate physical education and promote overall child welfare.
Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with families, colleagues, and support staff.
Experience working with students who have special needs or require additional support is highly desirable.

Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education . Pennsylvania certification in Pre K-4 or Early Childhood preferred, or willingness to be emergency certified.
