This course explores current trends and risks of HIV transmission specific to women, dives into potential concerns surrounding PrEP (Pre-exposure Prophylaxis) for both transgender and cisgender women, and examines current and future therapeutic options for optimal PrEP treatment across diverse women's health needs. In February 2026, the NYS Clinical Guidelines Program (hivguidelines.org) released new guidance on "Partner Treatment to Prevent Recurrent Bacterial Vaginosis."

🧑‍⚕️Dr. Erica Bostick from the CEI Sexual Health Center recently provided a brief overview of BV, recurrent BV, a recent study investigating male-partner treatment to prevent recurrent BV, and a review of these NYS guidelines.
