🏀📣 CENTRAL JR HIGH WINTER SPORTS TRYOUTS ARE COMING UP! 📣🏀

Calling all Central Jr High students interested in Boys Basketball, Girls Basketball, or Cheer! Mark your calendars and get ready for tryouts for the 2026–2027 season!

🏀 7th & 8th Grade Boys Basketball
📅 September 28 & 29
⏰ 3:45–5:30 PM

🏀 7th & 8th Grade Girls Basketball
📅 September 30 — 3:15–4:45 PM
📅 October 1 — 3:45–5:15 PM

📣 Cheer Tryouts
📅 September 28 & 30 and October 1
⏰ Check-In: 5:45–6:00 PM
⏰ Tryouts: 6:00–8:00 PM

✅ Before trying out, students must:
• Be registered
• Have a current physical on file
• Be passing all classes
• Have all outstanding fees paid

📣 Cheer Participants: Wear black athletic bottoms, a colorful top, and tennis shoes. Hair must be up, and participants must wear cheer-appropriate clothing.

Get ready for an afternoon of music, friends, and fall fun! Our CJH Fall Social is coming up on Friday, October 2nd from 3:45–4:45 PM on the CJH blacktop!

🎟️ Tickets: $5
🎶 Music, nachos & soda included
🍿 Snow cones, cotton candy & popcorn available for $1 each

Tickets go on sale Wednesday, September 23rd and can be purchased from Ms. Brooks in Room 87 during RW, before school, or after school.

We can’t wait to see our Raiders there!

**This is not a formal event. Students are encouraged to wear standard school clothes.

📣 Happy Monday, Central Raider Families!

We’re ready for another great week at CJH! Here are a few important reminders as we get started:

📚 1st Quarter Midterm — Today!
Today marks our 1st Quarter Midterm. Families are encouraged to check TeacherEase to review student grades and academic progress. Remember, Homework Club is available before school each day from 8:15–8:45 AM and after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays until 5:00 PM.

🥞 Grandparents & VIP Breakfast
Save the date! Our annual Grandparents/VIP Breakfast will be held Thursday, October 1st. More information and RSVP details are coming soon!

🏀📣 Fall Sports Tryouts
Basketball and Cheer tryouts are coming up! Students must have a current physical, passing grades in all classes, and all outstanding school fees paid in order to participate. Please refer to Mr. Baum’s previous email for tryout schedules.

👕 Spirit Wear
There are currently two opportunities to grab your Raider and District #118 gear. Today is the FINAL DAY to order from the #118 Belonging Store!

📣 Reminder: All K–12 students attending games must be accompanied by an adult, with a maximum of four students per supervising adult.
