The recipient of the 2023 scholarship is Derek Oglesby from Bloomfield Hills High.

The scholarship is a one time lump sum of $2,500 to a major university or community college. Applications are due on or before 4/30/22 and winner will be announced on 5/1/22.

The Donovan Xavier Baker Scholarship Fund was created as a way to honor the short but beautiful life of Donovan Xavier Baker. Donovan graduated from Benjamin O. Davis Aerospace & Technical High School, attended Henry Ford Commmunity College, and was attending Ohio Technical College as a full time.
