Every year local PTAs across the state provide education enhancements in and out of the classroom, family engagement opportunities, and raise their voices to advocate for all children. Membership supports these activities and programs in your school and community.

Not sure? Here are a few Myths and Truths about PTA membership.

MYTH: Joining PTA requires you to volunteer and attend all meetings.

TRUTH: If you want to volunteer or attend meetings, that’s great, but it is not required. Membership opens opportunities for you to engage with your PTA. It can be very rewarding for you and the students.
MYTH: You must have a child at the school to join the PTA.

TRUTH: PTA membership is open, without discrimination, to anyone who believes in and supports the mission, purposes, and principles of PTA.
MYTH: PTA membership never expires.

TRUTH: You need to join every year. Even though membership generally runs annually July – June, you can join anytime during the year.

Look out for District 118 friends in the Shriner’s Parade tomorrow night. Starts at 7:30pm downtown!

Here is a scavenger hunt from Belleville Main Street to keep student occupied while they wait 👏

The next time you venture down Belleville Main Street, bring along our scavenger hunt + have fun exploring! Keep it handy for those professional candy retrievers tomorrow night at the Shriner’s Parade while they wait!

FYI we will have printed copies at the Belleville Old Town Farmers' Market on Saturday as well🍓🥧🥕
