🔐 Important: Parents/guardians should DO NOT share their Parent Portal login credentials with their children. Students and parents have their own individual accounts.

All students and parents should have received an email with their login information. If you haven’t received it, check your spam folder and contact your school’s main office to update your contact information.

🌱⚡ Saving Energy Today. Planting for Tomorrow. 🌳💚

Earlier this year, Belleville Public Schools, through the District Green Team, enrolled in a Demand Response energy program designed to reduce our energy consumption during periods of high demand on New Jersey’s electrical grid.

Chaired by Assistant Superintendent of Business, Tina Iaccheo, the District Green Team has continued to look for practical ways to make our schools more sustainable while reducing energy usage and operating costs.

And our efforts are making an impact! 🙌

Because of the District’s outstanding participation and energy reduction efforts during the summer months, Belleville Public Schools was recognized by NRG and the Arbor Day Foundation — and 20 trees will now be planted in a U.S. National Forest in honor of the Belleville Board of Education! 🌲🌲🌲

Small changes can create a lasting impact. We’re proud to keep building a greener, more sustainable Belleville for the next generation. 💙💛🌎

🚨Preparedness Through Partnership 🚔🚒🏫

This week, Belleville Public Schools, the Belleville Police Department, and the Belleville Fire Department came together for intensive, hands-on active shooter emergency response training at Belleville High School.

Led by Captain John McAloon of the Belleville Police Department, Tina Iaccheo, Assistant Superintendent of Business and Dr. Matthew Sullivan, Director of District Safety and Security, the training placed first responders and school officials into realistic, real-time scenarios designed to strengthen communication, coordination, decision-making, and emergency response.

The exercises were intentionally hands-on, engaging, and realistic, giving participants the opportunity to work through the types of complex situations that require multiple agencies to respond together quickly and effectively.

We hope these skills are never needed—but preparedness cannot begin when an emergency happens. Training together now helps ensure that our schools and first responders know how to work together when every second matters.

We are incredibly grateful to the men and women of the Belleville Police Department and Belleville Fire Department for their time, expertise, and continued partnership with our schools.

The Belleville Police and Fire Departments will conduct their annual joint training exercises August 17 through August 20 at Belleville High School.

🚨 COMMUNITY NOTICE: POLICE & FIRE TRAINING 🚒🚓

During this time, residents may notice an increased presence of police and fire vehicles at Belleville High School. This activity is part of the scheduled training exercises, and there is no reason for alarm.

Thank you for your patience, support, and understanding as our first responders train together to help keep Belleville safe.

Attention NJ e-bike riders and parents:

New e-bike requirements are now being enforced in New Jersey.

Key reminders from the Belleville Police Department and Belleville Board of Education:
• Riders must meet age and licensing requirements.
• Required e-bikes must be registered with NJMVC.
• Certain e-bikes require liability insurance.
• Helmets are required when operating a motorized e-bike.
• E-bikes cannot be ridden on sidewalks.
• Riders must follow applicable traffic laws and roadway restrictions.

Violations may result in fines, points, or other penalties.

🚒Building Partnerships. Strengthening Preparedness. 🏫

Today, Belleville Public Schools was proud to welcome members of the Belleville Fire Department to Belleville High School for a comprehensive building familiarization tour and emergency preparedness walkthrough.

Led by Captain Chase Hamilton, alongside our Buildings & Grounds team, firefighters toured the facility to identify critical building infrastructure, including gas and water shutoffs, roof access points, utility locations, and other key operational features that are essential during an emergency response.

These proactive visits are invaluable. Many of our first responders are new to the department, and we believe the first time they navigate one of our schools should not be during an emergency. By taking the time to become familiar with our buildings now, we are strengthening our ability to respond quickly, safely, and effectively should the need ever arise.

We are grateful for the continued partnership between the Belleville Fire Department and Belleville Public Schools and appreciate everyone's commitment to the safety of our students, staff, and community.
