Students used slow-motion video to capture the movement of battery-powered toy cars and Hot Wheels cars, then analyzed their positions at different points in time.

From there, they turned their data into position vs. time graphs and calculated each car’s average velocity by analyzing the slope of the line. 📈

Real cars, real data, real physics! 🔬

Belleville New Tech partnered with the Huron River Watershed to explore water pollution and learn what macroinvertebrates can tell us about the health of a river. Students got hands-on identifying the tiny creatures found in the Huron River and connecting what they discovered to real-world environmental science. 🔍🌿

This is what learning beyond the classroom looks like! 🙌

And we love a full-circle BNT moment! 💙 Kim, a former student, now volunteers with the Huron River Watershed and today, she was back helping our current students learn and explore! How cool is that? 🙌

🍭 Budgeting… but make it Skittles! 💰

Students in Your Future, Planned used a set number of Skittles to make real-life budgeting choices and discover what matters most to them when it comes to money.

Every choice came with a trade-off—and a chance to think about their values, priorities, and financial goals. 💭💵

Who knew Skittles could teach so much about money?! 🍬

💥 Chemistry got a little EXPLOSIVE! 🧪

Our students took on the ultimate question: How can we make a Diet Coke & Mentos eruption even BIGGER? 👀

Instead of just watching the reaction, they became the scientists—designing experiments, testing variables, collecting data, and learning from their results!

🧠 Think. 🔬 Test. 📊 Analyze. 💥 Erupt!

This is hands-on learning at BNT! Come see what makes New Tech different. 🐯

📚 Our sophomores in Money, Power, & the American Dream wrapped up an awesome project on the Enlightenment thinkers who helped shape American government!

Students researched philosophers like John Locke, Montesquieu, and Thomas Hobbes, then shared their learning during a gallery walk. 🗣️✨

Collaboration, communication, critical thinking, and history all came together in this project!

🎭 Up next: Hamilton & the PoLITical Revolution! 🎶

Go band, go!

Football usually takes center stage on Friday nights, but the marching band stole the show at Belleville High School as hundreds of alumni returned to celebrate the band program’s 100th anniversary. (Link in comments)
