Buddies. ❤

Our Big-Little Buddy program is one of our most cherished traditions. Recently our Kindergarteners were welcomed into our school family with a special liturgy presented by our 8th graders. Alongside their big buddies, each Kindergartener received a cross to wear, a Bible, and a special blessing. Welcome to the family!

What fun we had at last night's Family Bingo event! It was a great turnout from families new and old, and a great time was had by all. Thanks to our PTO organizers Stacey Ripperda and Nicole Braxmeier for bringing our school community together.

On this day 100 years ago, September 7, 1926, the doors of the new Blessed Sacrament School opened for the first time. Run by the School Sisters of Notre Dame, it welcomed "seventy-five wide-awake, alert, appreciative boys and girls." The parish had recently been established on the current school site, where an 8-room brick building was converted to the original school. The current school building would not come along until 1940.

If these walls could talk about the thousands of students who have received a wonderful Catholic education here! Happy 100 years, Blessed Sacrament School!

What fun was had at Friday's "teacher car wash!" Just look at those delighted faces!

7th grade came out on top of last week's Cash Raffle challenge, selling the most tickets to date. For their prize they were more than happy to douse their teacher Ms. Keefe as she drove through their "car wash!" With the recent heat wave, we don't think she minded too much. :)
