Less than a week!!! We're so excited to see everyone and have full classrooms and hallways again!

If you haven't gone back-to-school shopping yet, now's the time! Here are 5 school essentials we'd love for you to have ready for your first day back:

It was so good to see our hallways and classrooms filled with families, students, and staff again!!💚

From students finding their new classrooms and meeting their teachers to families discovering opportunities and ways to get involved, the excitement for this year was everywhere you looked! We’re incredibly thankful for the families who make Calvary what it is.

A new school year means new beginnings, new memories, new friendships, and so many opportunities to grow. We can’t wait to see all that this year holds!

Only 10 days left of summer!!!

Soak up these last bits of summer fun because soon school will be back in session! Here are 10 things you can do to enjoy these last days before the new year begins:

1) Head to your local drive-in theater and watch a movie 🍿

2) Go putt-putting with the fam ⛳️

3) Invite friends over and have a backyard cookout 🍔

4) Head to your local park or a state park and get in touch with nature 🌲

5) Grab some ice cream and go watch the sunset 🌅

6) Go make a splash at a waterpark 💦

7) Print out pictures from your summer and make a scrapbook 📔

8 ) Finish reading a book you started over the summer 📚

9) Get those bikes out and go for a bike ride 🚲

10) Support and shop at local businesses 🛍️

A new school year brings new opportunities, new challenges, and plenty of unknowns. Whether you’re feeling excited, nervous, or somewhere in between, this season is a chance for a fresh start. Here are 15 truths to remind you of what matters as you head into the year.

1) God is with you wherever you go — Joshua 1:9

2) You are created by God on purpose and for a purpose — Romans 8:28

3) Your worth isn't determined by your grades, achievements, or popularity — Ephesians 2:8-10

4) You don't have to have your whole future figured out — Proverbs 3:5–6

A Sign of Hope in Our Parks

💙 A special THANK YOU to the United Way Community Care Day volunteers from Calvary Christian School! 💙

These dedicated volunteers spent their day installing 988 Crisis Stop Signs throughout Bellefontaine City Parks and at West Liberty Lions Park—helping bring a message of hope, connection, and support to places throughout our community.

Parks are places where people go to walk, reflect, find peace, and sometimes process difficult moments in their lives. For someone experiencing a mental health or su***de crisis, that moment of reflection can sometimes become a life-changing decision. Strategically placed crisis stop signs can serve as a powerful reminder: You are not alone. Help is available. Your life matters.

The Su***de Prevention Coalition of Logan and Champaign Counties purchased these signs through grant funding from the Public Health Fund of Ohio, making it possible to update and expand this important community resource.

This update was especially important because the crisis signs that have been in our community since 2021 featured our local crisis line, 1-800-224-0422, which was discontinued on June 30, 2026. The new signs provide the current, nationwide 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline information so people can connect with help when they need it most.

To the volunteers who gave their time and energy to install these signs: thank you for helping our community create places of hope and connection. Your work may reach someone at a moment when it matters most.

Is it just me or is summer flying by? We only have 20 days until schools back in action!!!

While summer has been fun, we're so excited and looking forward to so many things this school year! Since there's 20 days until we begin, here's 20 things we have to look forward to:

1. Teachers – The people who make learning fun and meaningful!
2. Friends – New friendships, old friends, and plenty of fun along the way!
3. Chapel – Time each week to worship, learn, and grow together.
4. Talk About It Tuesday – Giving our students a chance to share their voices!
5. Bonding Day – A fun day of games, teamwork, and getting to know one another!
6. ESM Week – A chance for our students to serve and learn, here or abroad!
7. Science Fair – Seeing our students’ curiosity and creativity come to life.
8. Student Leadership – ASB, Key Club, FCA, Turning Point - so many opportunities for our students to lead!
9. Worship Nights – There's nothing like coming together to worship our Lord!
10. Kingdom Investment – Connecting with students in Burkina Faso and investing in their lives!
11. Learning – Discovering new things, asking questions, and growing every day!
12. Music – From concerts to performances, we love seeing our students share their musical talents.
13. Family Time – Donuts with Dad, Muffins with Mom, Grandparents Day, and more ways for our Calvary families to be part of the school year!
14. Drama – Watching our students bring stories to life on stage!
15. Spartan Athletics – Cheering on our Spartans on the field, court, course, track—you name it!
16. Tea Parties – Our third graders step back in time to experience the different social classes aboard the Titanic.
17. Talent Show – Who doesn't love seeing our staff and students show off their talents?
18. Spelling Bees – A little friendly competition and a whole lot of spelling!
19. Prom – A night to dress up, celebrate, and have some fun with friends!
20. Field Trips – We love learning outside the classroom!
