Last week for fire week our preschool friends had an AMAZING time going to take a tour of the Belle Plaine fire station!🔥🚒

We learned all about their different jobs, the fire trucks, their tools, and their fire fighter uniforms!

Its CPR and first aid time!🚨

Did you know all ALC staff become CPR and first aid certified within their first ninety days of employment, and repeat it every 2 years? (Even everyones favorite chef Ryan🧑‍🍳!)

FUN FACT FRIDAY👏

One of the most important jobs of being a provider at ALC is ALWAYS knowing how many children are in our care, and where they are. We do head counts frequently throughout the day, but did you know we have a tool to take it one step further?🤔

At every transition throughout our day, we utilize a tool on bright-wheels called “name to face” a digital attendance sheet where we call the child’s name, confirm their presence, and check them off the list both before starting and finishing our transitions. The more you know!🧠

ALC is reopening our gym space!💪

When our school kids program came to a close for the school year, we got to work setting up our gym!

As we enter fall and winter, the gym serves as the perfect space for days that are rainy or too cold for our friends to get out on the playgrounds (or just some extra space to get our wiggles out throughout the day😉)

FUN FACT FRIDAY!

When walking through the halls at ALC, theres a pretty good chance you will see/have seen some of our toys in the hall. Have you ever wondered why?🧐

Once a week, every classroom has all of their toys washed and sanitized! This is one of the many ways we keep our center clean and to keep away those pesky germs!🦠

With the help from our wonderful miss Lexie, the toys are pulled from the room, washed and sanitized, and then dry in the hall before being placed back in the classroom. The more you know!🧼🫧
