At Marketing Missions Matters Inc. and Bridges at Pahokee, our 4th Annual Back-to-School Backpack Giveaway is about so much more than school supplies.

It's about empowerment.
It's about unity.
It's about providing families with the resources they need to thrive.

That's why we're excited to partner with Upward Bound – Glades Region, an organization dedicated to helping students realize their full potential through education, mentorship, leadership development, career exploration, and college readiness.
Through programs like Upward Bound, students are given opportunities to build workforce skills, develop leadership abilities, network with professionals, and gain exposure to opportunities that can change the trajectory of their lives.

Day 2 of TRIO Upward Bound Glades Reigon 2026 Summer Program.

Today we did a focus on careers. The activities we conducted is as follow:

- Majors vs Careers Icebreaker. Students used homemade cards by to match the career s with the majors. This shows students that multiple careers can have the same major. At the same time, it gave student a perspective of having a variety of options when it comes to their career choices.

- Career Assessment Test and Vision Board. Student conducted a career assessment test and created career vision boards from the top two jobs listed.

- Students presented their career vision boards furthering their communication skills, active listening, and public speaking skills.

Theme Week: Dream It

Day 1 of the 2026 TRIO Upward Bound Glades Region summer program.

For Day 1 we conducted:

- Would You Rather: College Edition icebreaker activity where we asked students various questions such as would you rather stay in a dorm or stay off campus.

- Station Time Travel where students visited 6 stations around the classroom that had information pertaining to the beginning and now of TRIO.

- Students created and presented an 'About Me' vision boards that included the school they want to attend, three facts about themselves, fears, and more.
