Today marks the last first day of school for the Belle Chasse High School Class of 2027! What better way to kick off senior year than with our annual Senior Sunrise. 🎓☀️

This morning, our seniors came together to watch the sun rise, celebrate the beginning of their final year, and enjoy time with one another before the school day began.

Tomorrow is the first day of school, and we can't wait to welcome our Cardinals back!!

A few important reminders to help the morning run smoothly:

📍 Students should not arrive on campus before 7:00 AM.

🚗 Families, please take a moment to review our carpool map and refresh yourself on our arrival and dismissal procedures before tomorrow morning.

🕚 Dismissal tomorrow will be at 11:45 AM.

🚘 Student drivers should park only in their assigned parking spaces. Please remember to drive safely and obey all traffic laws while traveling to and from school.

⚠️ Students are not permitted to park at the White Auditorium. Vehicles parked on Plaquemines Parish Government property or in any unauthorized parking area may be towed at the owner's expense.

Today, our Belle Chasse High School faculty and staff officially kicked off the 2026-2027 school year! We welcomed the newest members of our Cardinal family, celebrated last year's successes, and introduced our theme for the year: "Cooking Up a Great Year!" 👨‍🍳

We also mixed in a little friendly competition, plenty of laughter, and a whole lot of teamwork.

Today was all about bringing together the ingredients that make Belle Chasse High School special: passionate educators, strong relationships, teamwork, and a commitment to doing what's best for students.

Here's to the start of another great year at Belle Chasse High School!

Our Cardinal Service Day brought together student-athletes from across our athletic programs to help prepare our campus for an amazing start to the new school year. From moving furniture and helping teachers to sprucing up our campus, our students showed what it truly means to serve others and take pride in their school.

A huge thank you to all of our student-athletes and coaches who gave their time and energy today. We also want to recognize the Student Council members who joined in to lend a helping hand

A very special thank you to Joseph Arenales Garden of Eden Lawn Care for generously donating the beautiful plants that now enhance the area around our school sign along the highway.

Recently, Coach Tageant had the opportunity to speak at the Louisiana High School Coaches Association Conference, where he spoke to coaches from across the state about the importance of using baseball as a platform to develop young men of character.

His message emphasized that success isn't measured only by wins, but by the values, leadership, accountability, and integrity that student-athletes carry with them long after their playing days are over.

The Climb Continues!

Today, Mrs. Lawson and our Assistant Principals joined school leaders from across Plaquemines Parish at the annual PPSB Leadership Institute.

This year's district theme, "The Climb Continues," serves as a reminder that great leadership is built on a commitment to continuous learning, growth, and improvement. Our leadership team was proud to represent Belle Chasse High School and grateful to be part of a district that recognizes investing in its leaders is ultimately an investment in its students.
