Froggies Childcare Early Education Scholarship

Students must provide the following information in a resume format:
Personal Data
*Name
*Home Address (must be enrolled at BCHS)
*Date of Birth

Academic Information
*G.P.A. (minimum of 3.0)
*Awards
*Honors or Major Accomplishments

Activities/Athletics/Clubs/Charity/Work (include years of involvement, leadership roles, awards)
*High School Organizations
*Community/Civic Organizations
*Employment History
*Hobbies Interests

The $500.00 scholarship will be awarded based upon the following criteria:
*Plans to enroll in an early education program at an accredited college
*Quality of resume
*One sealed Letter of Recommendation
*Applicant must also provide a 500- word minimum essay on:
“Why do you want to pursue a career in Early Childhood Education”

*Submissions will be evaluated and selected by Dana Newsom and her Scholarship Committee
ALL APPLICATIONS MUST BE SUBMITTED TO YOUR HIGH SCHOOL COUNSELOR BY APRIL 25, 2026

District leaders will continue to work with emergency officials to monitor conditions for Thursday, January 23, 2025. A decision about operations for Thursday will be communicated before 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 22nd.

I am overwhelmed with gratitude and thanks to announce that I have been selected as the Early Childhood Leader of the Year! Over the last 34 years at Froggie’s , it is the belief from my families and my staff in my abilities to lead them in the right direction that has made it possible for me to accept such a high honor. If you know me, you know that I don’t do very well with being recognized in front of large crowds and can only imagine my shock when I found out I was nominated and won. With that being said, I cannot express how thankful I am for not only you and your families in supporting me but my staff and husband as well.
