Road to the Ribbon

What a turnout for our Road to the Ribbon session this past weekend! This was our best turnout yet, and it was so exciting to see so many riders come together with one common goal: to learn, grow, and support one another.

Once again, our riders had the opportunity to watch and analyze each other’s rides—celebrating what went well, sharing observations, and offering encouragement for areas to continue improving. There is so much value in learning from the experiences of those around you.

Our riders who are newer to the show ring continue to gain confidence and knowledge by watching those with more experience, while our seasoned riders are learning just as much by helping and encouraging others. It’s a beautiful cycle of growth!

Most importantly, Road to the Ribbon is helping us build more than better riders—it’s building a team. The camaraderie, encouragement, and willingness to learn from one another is exactly what makes our Granby Farm family so special.

We’re so proud of the way this group continues to show up for each other. The road to the ribbon is always better when we travel it together 💙🏆

A special shout out to the Koning gals who graciously shared a part of their birthday with us to review our rides!

🌈 Lesson Horse Spotlight 🌈
Amos — Worth His Weight in Gold 💛🐴

Some horses are special, and then there are horses like Amos—the kind who are truly worth their weight in gold.

Amos has become such an important part of the Granby Farm family. From teaching our youngest riders their very first lessons to helping more experienced riders build confidence, he has a way of making everyone feel safe, capable, and supported.

He patiently teaches riders how to communicate, how to trust themselves, and how to keep trying when something feels difficult. He celebrates the little victories right alongside them, whether it’s mastering a new skill, gaining confidence in the saddle, or simply having a great ride.

Amos doesn’t just teach our riders how to ride horses. He teaches them to believe in themselves. ❤️

We are so thankful for this incredible horse and everything he gives to our program and our riders. His patience, kindness, and big heart make him truly worth his weight in gold. ✨

Thank you, Amos, for taking such good care of our Granby Farm riders! 🐴💛

Dayton Horse Show Recap 🎠🏆

What a weekend for Granby Farm! ❤️

The Dayton Horse Show is our hometown show we look forward to attending yearly. This year was another opportunity for our riders and horses to step into the ring, learn, grow, and—most importantly—have fun together. We could not be more proud of the effort, sportsmanship, and determination shown by our entire team.

From first-time experiences to riders continuing to build confidence and polish their skills, every trip around the ring was a chance to learn something new. We saw riders overcome nerves, challenge themselves, trust their horses, cheer each other on, and continue to become stronger horse women.

And while the ribbons are always exciting, the moments that make us the proudest happen outside the show ring—watching our riders support one another, celebrating each other’s successes, and seeing the friendships that make our Granby Farm family so special. 🥰

A huge thank you to our incredible lesson families, riders, horse owners, helpers, and supporters who make these shows possible. It truly takes a village, and we are so grateful for ours!

We went home tired, happy, and already looking forward to the next one. 💙

✨🌟Meet Me Monday 🌟✨

Barn Name: Pinot (Think wine!)
Registered Name: Roselane’s Sommelier
Breed: American Saddlebred
Age: 3

Don’t let his young age fool you—Pinot is already making a name for himself around the barn! This 3-year-old, owned by Megan and Adam, is an exciting saddleseat prospect with big dreams of making his debut in the show ring by the end of the year.

Pinot has a playful personality that’s impossible not to love. His absolute favorite pastime is honking his beloved rubber chicken, and he’s always excited to see what new toys Mom and Dad bring him. His curiosity, goofy antics, and love for attention keep everyone at Granby Farm smiling.

As he continues his training, Pinot is showing all the qualities of a promising young show horse. We can’t wait to watch this fun-loving youngster grow and cheer him on as he begins his show career!

💫 Road to the Ribbon 💫

This week, a few of our show riders came together to watch and analyze rides from our most recent horse show. It was a great opportunity to learn from one another, celebrate successes, and continue growing as horsemen and horsewomen.

While watching recent show performances together, each rider shared something they felt their teammate did well, followed by one constructive suggestion to help them improve for next time. The feedback was thoughtful, encouraging, and focused on helping each other reach their goals.

Learning to evaluate rides, accept constructive criticism, and recognize the strengths of others are valuable skills both inside and outside of the show ring. We are proud of this group for supporting one another and embracing the mindset that every ride is another step on the 💫 Road to the Ribbon 💫

What an unforgettable week at the Indianapolis Charity Horse Show! We couldn’t be prouder of our Granby Farm team and everything they accomplished in and out of the show ring.

🌟 Lauren & "Floyd" put together one of their personal best rides yet! Watching their confidence, partnership, and hard work come together in the ring was incredibly rewarding.

🌟 Scarlett & "Zina" rose to the challenge, earning top ribbons in the largest class of the entire show. Their determination and consistency continue to shine every time they step into the ring.

🌟 Megan (& Gunner) made an impressive return to the show ring after many years away. In her first show back, Megan exceeded every expectation, proving that hard work and perseverance pay off.

🌟 Amanda (& Gunner) stepped into the show ring for the very first time and did an outstanding job! We are so proud of her confidence, willingness to learn, and all she accomplished throughout the week.

🌟 Aurora (& Amos) continue to grow together with every ride. They met the goals they set for themselves and gained valuable experience that will continue to build a strong foundation for the future.

🌟AJ (& Amos) stepped back into the show ring after a bit of a hiatus due to a broken arm. They met their goal of “just have fun”, the smile AJ has says it all!

Success isn’t measured only by ribbons—it’s measured by growth, confidence, sportsmanship, and the relationships built along the way. This week was filled with personal victories, unforgettable memories, and countless reasons to celebrate.

A heartfelt thank you to our amazing families, supporters, and everyone who cheered us on throughout the week. Your encouragement means the world to our riders.

Congratulations to every Granby Farm rider and horse—we are incredibly proud of each and every one of you! 💙🐴

What a fantastic weekend at the Brown County Charity Horse Show! We had an incredible time cheering on our riders, spending time with our horse show family, and making memories both in and out of the ring.
We are so proud of each rider and horse for their hard work, sportsmanship, and dedication. From early mornings in the barn to celebrating accomplishments after classes, every moment was filled with teamwork, laughter, and fun.
Horse shows are about so much more than ribbons—they’re about setting goals, building confidence, creating friendships, and enjoying the journey with our horses. We loved watching our riders support one another and seeing all the progress they’ve made throughout the season.
A huge thank you to the Brown County Charity Horse Show for hosting such a wonderful event and to our families for their continued support. We’re grateful for every opportunity to share our love of horses and the American Saddlebred breed.
