With great sadness we must announce the passing of former HHGA President Tim Sanders. Tim was president from 2017 to 2019. Tim was always smiling. He loved the Houston Highland Games Association. Even after he moved from the Houston area, he stayed involved with HHGA. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends

Hear ye, hear ye! 📣🏴

The clans are convening — not for cabers and competition — but for camaraderie, connection, and a wee bit of merriment!

The Houston Highland Games Association is hosting our next Meet & Greet — a relaxed, laughter-filled gathering for current members *and* those curious about joining our fine tartan-wrapped fellowship.

📍 Bull and Bear Tavern and Eatery
11980 Westheimer Road, Houston
📅 February 21
⏰ 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM

Whether you’ve been with us for years or you’re simply “kilt-curious,” this is the perfect chance to:

✨ Meet members of the Association
✨ Learn how to get involved
✨ Share ideas and stories
✨ Recruit a friend (or three!)
✨ Enjoy good food, good drink, and even better company

No heavy lifting required — unless it’s lifting a glass. 🍻

Come for the fellowship, stay for the fun, and help us grow the Houston Highland Games family. The more, the merrier — and there’s always room at the table for another clan member! Slàinte!

🚨Important Update: Burns Dinner Rescheduled!🚨

Due to the impending ice storm that’s set to sweep through Houston, we’ve decided to postpone our Annual Burns Dinner. It seems even the weather couldn’t resist a little “haggis freeze!” ❄️

But fear not! We’re not letting a bit of Scottish weather get us down. The new date is now January 31, 2026! Join us at the Red Lion Pub as we thaw out our spirits and celebrate the Bard in true Highland style.

🪑 Seating is still limited, so don’t let this wee hiccup keep you from reserving your spot!

So grab your thermals and your best tartan—the only ice we want to see is in our drinks! 🥃
