Statement from Coach Tiber...

“After 30 years of coaching college basketball, the opportunity to return home and serve as Athletic Director was simply too special to pass up. This decision is bittersweet because women’s basketball has given me so much—lifelong relationships, unforgettable experiences, and a career that exceeded my dreams.
What makes this next chapter so meaningful is the chance to be closer to family and raise my children in my hometown. While I will always cherish my time on the sidelines, I am excited for the opportunity to support and lead an entire athletic program, helping coaches and student-athletes achieve success.”

“I am incredibly grateful for everyone who has been part of my journey in women’s basketball. That game shaped who I am, and now it’s time for me to use those experiences to serve others in a new role. I look forward to leading, mentoring, and helping the next generation of coaches and student-athletes thrive at my alma mater Bellaire Local Schools.”

“I would like to sincerely thank Superintendent Derrick McAfee for the opportunity to serve as the new Athletic Director at my alma mater. It is truly an honor to return home and give back to the school and community that helped shape me. I am committed to restoring the proud traditions of Bellaire Athletics while building a culture of character, celebratory spirit and competitveness. My goal is to provide a positive environment where student-athletes are challenged to grow both academically and athletically, developing the skills and character necessary for success in the classroom, on the court, on the field, and in life.
