Introducing our new agriculture teachers: Abigail Parmer for Bell Middle FFA and Cynthia Mitchell for Bell Senior FFA. Please give them a warm bulldog welcome!

Abigail Parmer is the new agriculture teacher at Bell Middle School. She grew up on a small strawberry and cattle farm in Plant City, Florida, and graduated from Bartow Senior High School. Both of her parents are agriculture teachers in Polk County, and growing up on a family farm, being the daughter of two agriculture educators, and actively participating in FFA inspired her passion for agriculture.
Abigail is also a proud Florida Gator and graduated this year from the University of Florida. She is honored and excited to begin her career at Bell Middle School and looks forward to sharing her passion for agriculture with her students.

Cynthia Mitchell is the new agriculture teacher at Bell High School. She is a nationally recognized educator who has won several state and national championships throughout her career. She is married to her husband, Casey Mitchell, and they have two sons, Briar and Gabe. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from the University of Florida and has been teaching for 15 years, including the past eight years as an agriculture teacher.
She is deeply passionate about agriculture and grew up in Fort Pierce, where her family has farmed citrus for generations, along with crops such as potatoes and cabbage. Watching her two sons grow up in FFA and seeing how it contributed to their success in their future careers strengthened her belief in the organization's impact. She believes FFA helps students develop valuable leadership and life skills that can benefit them in any career path. She is excited to teach agriculture to the next generation of leaders and to serve as the advisor for the Bell FFA Chapter.

Bell FFA is officially kicking off the new school year at the Florida State Fair Agribusiness Youth Steer Futurity in Tampa, FL

Today, 13 dedicated members learned more about the Florida beef industry during an educational seminar and purchased their steers for the upcoming school year.

Big congratulations to Krista Scott for advancing to the FINAL FOUR in the Florida FFA Prepared Public Speaking contest.

She has been working for years to perfect her craft and grow in her agricultural knowledge.
