UF IFAS Gilchrist County Extension We are a community service provided in partnership between the Gilchrist County Board of County Commissioners and the University of Florida.

We provide services in youth development, agriculture and community resource development.

We are excited to announce registration for the Florida 4-H Food Plot Project is now OPEN! (Youth in any county and/or age are invited to participate) You can register at the link below.

Like last year, this year youth have two chances to complete a record book for two opportunities to win the grand prize of a lifetime hunting license or other great age group prizes. The project is split into two versions, a fall project (We call it the Deer Project) and a spring project (We call it the Turkey Project). In both projects youth will receive a packet with all the necessary material to complete their project and record books.

Registration for the fall project closes October 1st and registration for the spring project closes January 15.
