Last week, 18 members of LA ETI attended the National Training Institute (NTI) in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where we connected with electrical training professionals from across the country and learned new ways to strengthen our apprenticeship programs.

A special congratulations to Senior Instructor Summer Zachary and Day Instructor Charles Drouaillet on graduating from NTI’s Instructor Training Program! 👏

We’re proud of our team for representing LA ETI with professionalism, curiosity, and a commitment to continuous learning. Every experience like this helps us build an even stronger future for our apprentices. ⚡

LA ETI was proud to welcome students from The Rosendin Foundation Summer Camp.

Through hands-on projects and real-world construction experiences, participants explored what it’s like to build, create, and solve problems as a team.

Thank you to The Rosendin Foundation for investing in our future workforce and helping young people experience the many opportunities the construction industry has to offer. ⚡🔨

⚡LA ETI was proud to welcome 71 young women from LAWA Girls Build for a tour of our training center and a hands-on introduction to the electrical trade.

Thank you to Miguel Sanchez for leading the tour, and to IBEW Local 11, Diana Limon, and volunteers for making the hands-on experience possible. Together, we’re inspiring the next generation of women in the skilled trades.

Celebrating 30 years of Steve Rose, ETI’s Director of Innovation! 🎉⚡

Steve is more than our resident “mad scientist” and genius innovator. With over 20 patents to his name, he has spent three decades turning creative ideas into real solutions that benefit ETI students and help move the electrical industry forward.

From overseeing and maximizing our facility to developing new labs, technologies, and inventions, Steve is always looking for new ways to improve ETI. He also serves as a mentor, generously sharing his knowledge and encouraging others to think bigger.

His impact goes far beyond innovation. Steve is an important part of ETI’s culture and community, bringing joy to staff and students through traditions like stepping into the role of Santa each year.

Thank you, Steve, for 30 years of innovation, mentorship, leadership, and unforgettable contributions to the ETI family. We can’t wait to see what you create next!
