The Webb School Founded in 1870, The Webb School is a co-ed, independent college preparatory boarding and day school for Grades 6-12 in historic Bell Buckle, TN.

For more than 150 years, The Webb School has provided students with challenging, university-preparatory academics. Webb faculty members inspire our 400 students to think creatively, as well as analytically, through our academic program that features 21 AP classes. Our signature Emerging Voices Program, which fosters our students’ public speaking and written skills while developing their passions. Webb students grow to become confident adults in our small, family-like community. They actively have pursue opportunities in athletics, the arts, and the outdoors. Our small size means that students have a real opportunity for personal growth by actively participating in our programs. Our community represents a diverse mix of people from 15 different states and 23 countries. The hallmark of a Webb education is our emphasis on honor and personal integrity. We firmly believe that our graduates will not be successful in life unless they gain a clear sense of right and wrong. Webb is located on a 150-acre campus in historic Bell Buckle, Tennessee. We are 30 minutes from Murfreesboro and 50 minutes south of Nashville, Tennessee.

What do you get when you combine sports and ropes courses with boating and fire stoking? For our Middle Schoolers…it’s a whole lot of fun and countless memories. Earlier this week, students in grades 6–8 headed to two separate locations in Tennessee for overnight trips with their classmates and teachers. We hope they carry this experience — and the sense of community it fostered — with them throughout the 2026–27 school year.

Each fall at , our students put two of Webb's six , and , into action. Today, the group kicked off on a high note by showing love and appreciation for the greater Middle Tennessee community and our armed forces. Throughout the morning, students in grades 6–8 wrote letters to active military, created inspirational cards for cancer patients, assembled bookmark-making kits for their local library, volunteered at the Nourish Food Bank, cleaned up the Duck River, and engaged with children at Bright Beginnings and Thomas Magnet.

It was a strong finish for Webb's fall cross country teams at their last home meet of the season on Sept. 30. Our Middle School girls' XC team earned 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 8th place finishes to clinch the TIAA Championship, while two of our boys also finished in the top 10 for the Feet. We love when our families are on campus! Approximately 75 boarding and day families joined for Family Weekend 2026. While Friday offered a chance to sit in on classes, watch our second annual Homecoming Parade downtown, meet with teachers, explore colleges and more, Saturday featured a hike with W.I.L.D., a watercolor paint party, and an outdoor movie. None of this would have been possible without the many hands working behind the scenes. This , we thank every faculty and staff member who goes above and beyond to make Webb the amazing place it is.

Our students, faculty and staff got into the Homecoming spirit with wacky dress-down-themed days throughout the week. Monday brought a sea of colorful shirts (and painted faces) to campus, whereas Tuesday had us twinning with friends, colleagues and our desktop companions. The streets of downtown Bell Buckle were PACKED for Webb’s second annual Homecoming Parade today! 🐾🦈🎅

With this year’s Grand Marshal, Dorothy Powell Elkins, leading the way, the energy was electric from the first float through to the very last Bernese Mountain Dog. (There were 8!) While waves and smiles came courtesy of our court, the crowd roared for our Varsity girls’ golf team, which heads to the state championships next week. And our “Feet Go to Florida” Middle School float, armed with super soakers, could not have come at a better time to cool down spectators.

Special thanks to this year’s parade judges: L.R. Smith, Scout Turner ’12 & Kristen Linton Alsup ’00. We can’t wait to see who won!

Happy ! ☕ The coffee sure was flowing (and the conversation, too!) at last month’s Coffee & Conversation event with Webb’s 14th Head of School, Dr. Polly Parker. Nearly a dozen Middle and Upper School parents joined Dr. Parker on Sept. 24 at the Little Brown Mug Café for a meaningful discussion on campus life, academic updates and the exciting things in store for families at .
