Kron
Gracie is a Gracie Jiu-Jitsu martial artist. He comes from a long lineage
of pride, respect, and competition that all began with the legendary Helio Gracie.
Helio transformed the Japanese form of
Jiu-Jitsu into his own unique blend of what is today known as Brazilian
or
Gracie Jiu-Jitsu. This distinctive style of
Jiu-Jitsu was unparalleled in its day because it focused on the
application
of technique rather than the ability of one
opponent to simply overpower another. Helio
gave birth to many children, most notably was Rickson Gracie.
Just as Helio was a
pioneer in developing Jiu-Jitsu, Rickson
followed closely in developing the sport of what is known today as
Mixed Martial
Arts. Rickson is a legend of the Jiu-Jitsu
and MMA world. Competing in no holds barred tournaments in Japan, such
as Pride
and Vale Tudo, Rickson was emerging in a
sport not known to the modern world. A current 8th degree black belt in
Jiu-Jitsu
and an outstanding 400+ victory with zero
defeats define him as the all-time great in his sport.
