(The 2024-25 FAFSA has opened with a soft launch period. This means that the form will be available periodically as Federal Student Aid monitors site performance and form functionality and works to improve the user experience. Due to the frequent outages and reports of glitches in the form, please be patient and know that KHEAA has resources to assist you while you wait, such as the FAFSA Completion Guide and 2024-25 Walk-Through Video (links below). We will continue to post updates and information as it’s made available. )

The Cardinal Commitment Grant from the University of Louisville offers full tuition to incoming Kentucky residents who qualify for a financial aid package.

Students who are not eligible for a Pell Grant can still qualify for awards ranging from $2,000-$9,000.

The University of Louisville is excited to offer the Cardinal Commitment Grant to Fall '24 new first-time students from the state of Kentucky. This grant is intended to provide aid for college-ready Kentucky students, giving them the financial support needed to earn a degree from UofL.

For high school seniors that are interested in a career in health care and will be attending the University of Kentucky next fall. There is an athletic training student aide program that is a great opportunity to get some experience in health care with some scholarship opportunities. The application deadline is December 1st, 2023.

For students interested in persuing a degree in civil engineering or construction management? The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet provides scholarships.

We offer scholarship opportunities to students who are interested in pursuing Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology & Construction Management.

Applications may now be submitted for the upcoming 2024-2025 year. Students who are chosen for the Civil Engineering or Construction Management program can receive up to $59,200* (before taxes) and those chosen for Civil Engineering Technology can receive up to $14,800* (before taxes). We also provide summer employment & full-time employment after graduation. (*depending on the # of years in school)

Students must attend UK, UL, or WKU for Civil Engineering / NKU, EKU, WKU, Morehead State, & Murray State for Construction Management / BSCTC for Civil Engineering Technology

Areas of interest include:
Right of Way & Utilities / Environmental Analysis / Planning
Highway & Structural Design / Geotech / Construction
Materials / Maintenance / Traffic Operations
Adminstration

June 2023 marked the 75th year of the Transportation Cabinet’s Civil Engineering Scholarship Program.  The program has been the primary pipeline to recruit talented engineers and has continuously improved since its inception in 1948.
