📢 Belfry Area Students – Join Us for Career Camp!
Belfry Area middle and high school students are invited to attend our hands-on Career Camp at Belfry Area Technology Center on June 3rd and 4th (1pm to 4pm)!
Students will have the opportunity to explore:
🔨 Carpentry
⚡ Welding
🚗 Automotive Technology
🏥 Health Sciences
Participants will use real tools, learn practical skills, meet industry professionals, and explore exciting career opportunities.
📅 Attend camp both days or just one day—it's your choice!
⏰ Camp runs from 1:00 PM – 4:10 PM each day.

At BMS we honored the dedicated individuals who are retiring, some have already retired earlier in the year, after years of service to our school community.

We will be taking nominations by phone or in person on Wednesday 6/3/26 and Thursday 6/4/24 for parents of upcoming 6th, 7th, and 8th grader students who are interested in being on our Site Based Decision Making Committee. You must call (606-363-9688) or come by during school hours to nominate a parent. Upon giving your nomination to the secretary, you will be asked questions to verify that your child is enrolled in BMS for the upcoming school year. Submitted by SBDM Committee Parent Representatives.

“Back to her roots." We are honored to welcome Kathryn (Kathy Spinks) Knoll as our 2026 Belfry Middle School Graduation Guest Speaker.

A proud Belfry High School graduate, class of 1984 and former Lady Pirate basketball standout, Kathy continued her success on the court as a member of the University of Tennessee Lady Vols, class of 1988.

Her journey from Belfry to collegiate athletics is an inspiring example of hard work, leadership, and Pirate pride. We are excited to have her return home to celebrate and encourage the Belfry Middle School Class of 2026 as they begin their next chapter.

The Belfry Middle School Advanced Band members had an awesome day of sharing musical favorites with our friends at Pikeville Nursing and Rehab. We spoke with residents about music and learned that one of them was in the band back when Debbie Evans was the director. Thank you for being an inspiration to us and encouraging us to continue our musical journey. 🙏🏼❤️🎶
