Students entering grades 7–12 are invited to attend our FREE hands-on Career Camp on June 3rd and 4th from 1:00 PM – 4:10 PM at Belfry Area Technology Center.

Camp participants will explore exciting career pathways through hands-on activities in:

🔨 Carpentry
⚡ Welding
🚗 Automotive Technology
🏥 Health Sciences

Students will work with real tools, develop practical skills, meet industry professionals, and learn about high-demand career opportunities available right here in Eastern Kentucky.

Representing Belfry ATC at the State Level 🔴

These students gave up part of their Spring Break to compete in the Kentucky SkillsUSA State Competition in Louisville — a major accomplishment and a testament to their dedication.

Christopher Crum (Belfry), Clark Lane (Pike Central), and Kaden Smith (Pike Central) represented Belfry Area Technology Center with pride, professionalism, and a commitment to excellence.

Through this experience, they gained valuable skills beyond the classroom — including leadership, confidence, and real-world application of their technical training while competing against top students from across the state.

A special thank you to Mr. Hopson and Mr. Bogar for their leadership in the classroom, their dedication to preparing students for competition, and for supporting our SkillsUSA program at Belfry ATC.

We are proud of these young men and the way they represented their schools and our program.

Spreading Smiles in Health Science 🐰

Our Nurse Aide students are learning that healthcare is about more than skills — it’s about compassion and connection.

During their clinical experiences, students took time to spread some Easter cheer and pose with the Easter Bunny (Phelps student Noah). Pictured are students from Phelps, Pike Central, and East Ridge, representing the heart of our Health Science program.

Under the leadership of Mrs. Easterling, Mrs. Lee, and Mrs. May our students are gaining real-world experience while making a positive impact on others.

Keeping Things Running 🔧

At Belfry ATC, students don’t just learn about automotive service — they get hands-on experience performing real maintenance.

Students in our Transportation/Diesel program, under the guidance of Mr. John Maynard, are learning essential skills like changing oil and replacing air filters. These foundational tasks build the knowledge, precision, and confidence needed for careers in automotive and diesel technology.

Experiences like these prepare students for high-demand careers while reinforcing the importance of quality workmanship and attention to detail.

Welding in Action 🔧

At Belfry ATC, students don’t just learn welding — they build real-world skills and have fun while doing it.

Students in our Welding program are studying pressure vessels and learning how sound welding practices ensure safety and performance in industries such as manufacturing, construction, and energy.

Hands-on projects like these help students develop precision, confidence, and the technical knowledge needed for successful careers in the skilled trades.

💉 Health Science Students Leading Through Service

Students in our Health Science and MNA programs (Easterling, May, Lee) demonstrated leadership both in the classroom and the community this month.

Our students:
• Participated in clinical rotations
• Hosted one of our annual community blood drives
• Led a Valentine’s service project for Life Management students

At Belfry ATC, we are preparing students not only for healthcare careers — but for service to others.
