St Mary's Catholic School St. Saint Mary’s offers a high-quality, literacy-based program immersed in Christian values for students from pre-kindergarten through eighth grade.

Mary's Catholic School prepares students to be leaders in worship, work, and the world through Roman Catholic teachings, rigorous academics, and service to others. We are fully accredited by the State of New Mexico, the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, and the National Catholic Education Association. Our curriculum is based on the guides and concepts of the Archdiocese of Santa F

e and meets all criteria set by the State of New Mexico. Our school day begins with school-wide prayer at the flagpole and continues with classroom prayer throughout the day. The teachers of Saint Mary’s School all are state-licensed and committed to providing a superior instructional program for all students. Saint Mary’s participates in all of the Archdiocesan, North Central Accreditation Association, and State Department of Education required testing. This includes the Iowa Test of Basic Skills (ITBS) at grades 3 through 8; the Assessment of Catechesis Religious Education at grades 5 and 8; and the New Mexico Writing Assessment. As a Catholic school, Saint Mary’s mission expands beyond outstanding academic programs. The Church’s teaching mission includes inviting young people to a relationship with Jesus Christ or deepening an existing relationship with Jesus, inserting young people into the life of the Church, and assisting young people to see and understand the role of faith in one’s daily life and in the larger society. Tasked with this Saint Mary’s becomes a “school for the human person” and fills a critical role in the future life of our Church, our country and our world

When? Saturday, October 17, 2026 at Rio Events Center.

A $100 Fall Fest ticket includes a delicious dinner for two and an entry into the drawing for an incredible 10,000 grand prize! 🎉 Plus….other cash prizes! 💰

St. Mary’s Catholic School is incredibly grateful to The Catholic Foundation for their generous grant support! Because of their generosity, our Roadrunners now have a much-needed Social Studies curriculum that will help bring history, geography, and our world to life in the classroom!

A special thank you to Ms. Baca for the time, dedication, and heart she puts into writing these important grants year after year. Your hard work continues to make a difference for our students!

✨🌎A God made vs. man-made adventure!🌎

Yesterday, in Religion and Wit & Wisdom, our second graders went on an adventure around school grounds to discover the difference between things God made, and things people made!

We talked about how our choices and actions can impact and change the Earth, and how much love God put into every one of his creations. ❤️

As we explored, the students made a list of all the God-made and man-made items they could find!

Our little Roadrunners officially started their school year today! There were new classrooms to explore, new friends to meet, and so many exciting adventures waiting ahead. We are so happy to welcome our kindergarten students to a wonderful year at St. Mary’s! 💛💙

Today was a beautiful morning at St. Mary’s Catholic School as we celebrated our first school Mass of the school year!

A special thank you to our eighth grade Roadrunners, who did a wonderful job hosting and helping lead us in today’s Mass. We are so proud of the way they served our school community!

What a beautiful way to begin our morning and our new school year—-coming together in faith, prayer, and community. May God bless our Roadrunners and guide us throughout this wonderful year!

First day jitters….NOPE!

Instead, our halls were filled with big smiles, lots of laughter, and happy Roadrunners!

We began our first day with a beautiful prayer led by Fr. John, reminding us that our year begins with God at the center. 💙🙏💙

At St. Marys, we believe in growing in our faith, learning, making memories, and having fun along the way!

We have a feeling this is going to be an amazing year! Here’s to a year filled with faith, friendship, learning, and plenty of Roadrunner spirit! 🎉

The classrooms have been clean and decorated, the lesson plans are ready, and now there’s just one thing missing…YOU!

We can’t wait to see all those smiling faces, hear the laughter in our hallways, and discover all the wonderful things this year has in store for our St. Marys family!

So, Roadrunners, sleep well tonight! Tomorrow is a new beginning, a new adventure, and another year of learning, growing, and getting closer to God.
