Third Coast Preparedness We provide Fi****ms, Medical, Self-Defense and Survival Training in the West Michigan area. Our instructors are subject matter experts. That's where we come in!

We offer fi****ms & tactical, medical, and self-defense classes as well as survival and bush-craft workshops. It is our goal to become Michigan's premier, self preparedness training center. They have refined their skill-sets in some of the world's most challenging and hostile combat environments; many having served in the military or as law-enforcement and/or first responders. They have taught cou

ntless individuals all over the world how to protect themselves and to use their weapons safely and effectively. We support our troops and first-responders! We partner with several non-profits whose aim is to give back to a community that has already given so much. We believe that survival does not waste its time with those who are unprepared. The bare minimum is never good enough. We know that weapons & medical training, self-defense and survival skills are perishable; they need to be practiced and improved upon. We are here to help you practice, refine and increase your skill-sets and ultimately, help you gain the confidence in your ability to protect yourself, your loved ones and your property! Alright Folks!! Another 2 day class is on the schedule, and the weather should be much more friendly!

Grab your gear, and lets get moving!

Day 1 - ALL about the sidearm.
Day 2 - ALL about the longer one.
same as before, you can book 1 day, the other, or both!

These classes will focus on getting you out of your comfort zone and give you measurable results!

Have you booked your spot for our 2 day class in July? Remember, you can book just 1 day if you wish, but when you book both TCP will cover your range fee AND you get a primer of our trauma first aid course.

Day 1 is pistol, everything from refining your draw for reliable presentation each time, though multiple target engagement and decision making, and shooting from diminished positions.

Day 2 is Carbine, starting with setup, proper zero, and presentation, through some dynamic movement and target discrimination drills.

At the end of this 2 day class you will walk away feeling more confident in your abilities as a defender of yourself and loved ones.

Folks joining the hike group —

Our first hike will be June 7th at 7:00 PM at Dwight Lydell Park off W River Dr in GR. (will post a map pin this weekend)

This first meetup will focus on getting to know each other, talking through everyone’s goals, setting expectations for the group, and then getting in a short hike with a skills lesson.

We’ll spend a little time discussing what “preparedness” actually means in different situations, then jump into the lesson and hike.

This week’s skill lesson:
Setting up your pace count
Learning how to use ranger beads

My daughter has made a handful of ranger beads that will be available to borrow or purchase ($5). She’s also happy to make custom colors/designs if anyone wants something specific.

Plan on spending at least 2 hours with us for the first night.

We’ll also go over upcoming hike locations and future skills so everyone can come prepared.

Please bring:
Comfortable shoes
Your hiking bag/kit
Water/hydration
A snack

Please DM if you plan to attend so I can get a head count.
Being that this is a very public event, at no charge, I am not having official signups on the website at this time... thats subject to change depending on level of interest and time needed on my end.

I truly hope everyone is having a safe and meaningful Memorial Day weekend.
Memorial Day is more than just an excuse to fire up a grill and day drink with your friends.
It is a day to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice defending our freedom and protecting this nation from the evils of the world.

While it often feels like our country only pauses to recognize these heroes one day each year, here at Third Coast, their sacrifice is remembered every single day. As a veteran-owned company, we understand that freedom is never free, and we remain forever grateful to those who gave everything for it.
Today, we remember the fallen, honor their legacy, and keep their families in our thoughts.
