📍2026 TMC Tribal Candidate Forum Announcement
Turtle Mountain College is pleased to announce the 2026 TMC Tribal Candidate Forum, which will be held on Monday, September 28, 2026. Candidate registration will begin at 12:30 p.m., with the forum beginning promptly at 1:00 p.m. and concluding at approximately 4:30 p.m.

🐢⛰️The purpose of the forum is to provide our community with an opportunity to hear directly from the candidates seeking to represent them and to learn more about their perspectives, priorities, and vision for the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians.

1️⃣To help ensure a fair and transparent process, each candidate will draw one question at the time of registration. If a candidate is uncomfortable with the question they initially drew, they will be given the opportunity to draw one additional question and choose which of the two they feel most comfortable answering.

🎤During the question portion of the forum, Tribal Council and Tribal Judge candidates will have three minutes to answer each question. Chairman candidates will have five minutes to answer each question. These time limits are intended to provide every candidate with a fair opportunity to share their thoughts while allowing us to hear from as many candidates as possible.

📲We are also respectfully asking all candidates to refrain from using their cell phones during the forum and question process. This is intended to preserve the authenticity of the forum and ensure that responses reflect each candidate's own knowledge and perspective, without the use of artificial intelligence or other outside resources to assist in answering questions.

🤝Our goal is to provide a forum that is fair, respectful, informative, and consistent for every candidate. We appreciate the candidates for their willingness to participate and, most importantly, for their willingness to serve our community.

🐢 Native Computer Science & Cybersecurity Conference 🐢

First Annual NCSCC!

Native CSCC brought together more than 250 attendees for a dynamic day of learning, connection, and collaboration.

Nearly 100 Turtle Mountain Community High School students joined faculty and representatives from Tribal Colleges and Universities, and other higher education institutions from North Dakota.

The conference also featured an impressive lineup of speakers representing the University of North Dakota, the American Indian Higher Education Consortium (AIHEC), the Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA), Cisco, Sandia National Laboratories, AMD, 7 Generation Games, and the TCUP Hub. Their expertise in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, cyberinfrastructure, immersive technologies, education, and workforce development sparked engaging conversations and opened new opportunities for collaboration across Tribal and Indigenous communities.

✨ Day 2 Tribal Leadership Summit ✨

📍The Tribal Leadership Summit creates a space for leaders across industries to come together in support of Native Nations.
