Our Story
The Belcourt Public School District began as a multitude of country schools in Ingebretson & Couture Townships of northeastern Rolette County, North Dakota. A centralized school was built in the town of Belcourt, with the first high school graduating class of five in 1943. Today, and three high schools later, the Turtle Mountain Community High School still serves a multitude of local students from throughout the Rolette County community under a unique partnership of the Bureau of Indian Education & the North Dakota Department of Public Instruction. The graduating class of 2019, included 115 students.
