Turtle Mountain Home Visiting Program Our mission is to teach and partner with families in the upbringing of healthy babies.

Turtle Mountain Home Visiting is a FREE, voluntary home visitation program designed to work with parents. TM Home Visiting is in collaboration with Parents as Teachers, an evidence-based model that helps organizations and professionals work with parents during the critical years of their children's lives, from conception to kindergarten-and the results are powerful. Participants are eligible to receive incentives upon completion of program goals such as: making pre-natal visits, WIC appointments, well-baby checks, participation in educational classes, or utilizing other community resources. Trained Parent Educators visit parents to promote:
Pregnancy Wellness
Well baby checks
Immunization checks
Infant care and nutrition
Parenting skills
positive parent-child interaction
stages of infant and child development
developmental screenings
child health and safety
positive support system
stress reduction techniques
Promote Breastfeeding

We are partnering with TM Community Innovation, Research, and Development Department for an awesome School Supply Drive! They're collecting essential items to help students get ready for the school year.
Let's contribute and make a big impact on our community's kids!

Here's what they're collecting:
• Writing tools (pens & pencils)
• Erasers & sharpeners
• Water bottles
• Folders & binders
• Crayons and colored pencils
• Notebooks
• Backpacks (new or gently used!)
• Glue sticks
• Hand sanitizer
• Pencil cases

The deadline for donations is Thursday, August 13th.
You can drop off your contributions at Turtle Mountain Tribal head quarters. Let's fill those backpacks and support our students!

Calling all true Spider-Man fans! 🕸️ Community Innovation is presenting a Family Movie Night featuring Spider-Man: Brand New Day! Doors open at 6:30 PM on Wednesday, August 12th, at Curts Theater. This is a sign-up only event, so make sure to reserve your spot. When you sign up, please add your t-shirt size so we can get you a cool commemorative shirt!

Miin-giizis is a time to celebrate the abundance of berries and the many gifts they provide. Raspberries are more than a sweet summer treat—they nourish our bodies, support wildlife, and remind us of the importance of living in balance with the land.

As we honour Miin-giizis, we encourage you to spend time outdoors if you're able, enjoy the berries of the season, and reflect on the teachings of gratitude, abundance, and caring for what Creator has provided.

The Makoonsiwi Empowerment Camp for Girls is taking place August 6th-9th, 2026. Four days, three nights at Sky Chief Park, Gordon Lake. The girls will enjoy camping activities, empowerment self-defense, as well as gentle cultural teachings by traditional Ojibwe women.

We're selecting up to four Big Sister Mentors from previous years to earn a stipend while they practice their leadership skills with the new girls. 🌱

Guardians must attend a mandatory meeting scheduled days before camp to sign forms and go over expectations & itinerary. More information about camp will be provided to those who attend. If you have any questions, please message this page.
