👋 Hi everyone! I’m Kelly, the Director and Founder of Rooty Tooty Daycare, Inc.! I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and share a little bit about my journey, my passion for early education, and the vision behind our program.

🎓 My Educational Background & Experience
I hold a Master’s in Education and am Director II Certified—the highest level of director certification offered by the EEC. Before opening our doors, I spent 6 years working in public schools, including time in a nature-based program. Over the years, I’ve completed countless hours of training in classroom development and emotional regulation, specializing in The Zones of Regulation and the Second Step program.

I also hold a Post-Master’s Certificate in Mindfulness. Before starting the daycare, I created and facilitated mindfulness and yoga classes specifically for children!

🌿 A Passion for Holistic Health & Entrepreneurship
I've always had an entrepreneurial spirit! I previously owned an herb shop where I offered herbal consultations for families and children through my Bioregional Certification, and I am also a Certified Craniosacral Therapist.

My background in herbalism, holistic health, and public education—backed by research—is what convinced me to bring a nature-based model into our daily care. After two years, we are constantly finding new and creative ways to incorporate nature-based lessons through outdoor exploration, sensory crafts, and caring for animals!

🏡 How It All Started & Our Non-Profit Mission
Rooty Tooty Daycare was born out of a desire to stay home with my daughter, Charlotte. What started as a small in-home daycare taking over my living room and dining room has now grown into our third location!

To better serve our community, I made the decision to transition our organization into a non-profit. Going non-profit allows us to directly lower childcare costs for working families while opening up incredible new opportunities and resources for the children's learning and overall development.

🙏 My Faith & Values
I am a dedicated Christian, and while Christianity is not part of our daily curriculum, I am deeply blessed and thank God for this opportunity. I view every single child enrolled in our program as a precious gift from God. My faith keeps me motivated to continue seeking God's mission: teaching young children how to be kind, loving, non-judgmental community helpers—just like Jesus.

🌟 Looking Ahead
This past year has been a wild ride learning how to operate multiple centers! While we’ve faced our share of hurdles, I couldn't be prouder of where we are today. Our team is stronger than ever—including my amazing husband and our dedicated staff.

With this growth, we have implemented new protocols, hired exceptional staff capable of upholding state regulations and carrying our vision forward, and are actively creating our very own custom curriculum!

Thank you all for being part of this incredible community. We are so excited for what’s ahead! 💚🌱
