🎉 Happy First Week of School! 🎉
We know the first week can be hectic—not just for the children, but for parents and caregivers too! It’s not always easy leaving your child in the care of someone else, especially if it’s their first time in care or they’re crying for you as you walk out the door. 💛

Please know that this behavior is completely normal! During this transition, our teachers are working hard to build trusting relationships with your little ones and help them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. It will get easier with time!

Thank you for putting your trust in us. We’re always here for you, so please reach out if you have any questions, concerns, or simply want a quick update on how your little one is doing. We’re happy to help! 🥰

BDS has been busy this week welcoming new families and making new friends! We’ve loved seeing all the smiles, getting to know our new little ones, and settling into another exciting school year. 🧸✨

☕ We also hosted our very first Coffee Connections! Parents and caregivers had the opportunity to connect with one another, enjoy a hot cup of coffee, and build our BDS community. We were so pleased to see such a great turnout and can’t wait to do it again next month!

We’re so excited for another wonderful year together! 🤗💙

ATTENTION EVERYONE!!

BDS is excited to introduce our first monthly “Coffee Connection”!

So, what is Coffee Connection?🤔

It’s a special time for parents and caregivers in our program to stop, relax, and connect with one another. After drop off, we invite you to enjoy some coffee and treats on us while taking a little time to meet someone new, share a conversation, and build connections.🤝

At BDS, we believe in the power of community. A strong community begins with strong connections and meaningful relationships.

We hope you’ll take some time in the morning to stop by the library, enjoy a cup of coffee and a treat, and connect with other families and caregivers in our community. We look forward to seeing you there! 🤗 ☕️

Sunflowers that reach the sky,
Oliver the comfort dog stopping by.
Playful engineers, and skillful building,
Tug of war with school-aged children.
Cut up veggies, rocket ships,
Off our fingers popsicles drip.
Swimming, friendships, summer fun,
So many memories, one by one.

Goodbye, summer, it’s been fun!

HAPPY (belated) BIRTHDAY, AMERICA! 🇺🇸

BDS spread some patriotic joy to our neighbors at Christopher Heights! The whole program joined in, marching over parade-style to share popsicles- a true Fourth of July staple. It was a simple and fun way to celebrate, connect and bring smiles to our community 🙂

☀️IT’S OFICIALLY SUMMER!! ☀️

Our summer program jumped into full swing with a kick off visit from Sweet Treats 413! Ice cream was the perfect way to start our summer program and break this heat wave 🥵 Thank you Nikki and Dave! We hope to see you next year!! 🍦

Our Summer Fun program has been busy cooking hot dogs, swimming, engaging in sensory experiences, and learning some independance and life skills as they take on daily chores to earn tokens to spend at the school store! Its been great having our school age program running all day ☺️

June 29th was national mud day! Playing in mud is not only a great sensory experience, but it also helps boost immunity, strengthens motor skills and fosters cognitive growth and regulation. The preschool program wasn’t shy about getting messy 😜

We’re leaders; down the hallway, up the stairs, walking feet, kind intentions.✏️

We’re show people; puppetry, science, dramatic play- there’s no limit on our talents.🎭

We’re professionals; schooling, standards, and PD fun.🎓

We’re passionate; caring, nurturing, and loving what we do. 🫶🏻

We’re not just teachers, we’re a foundation. 🏔️Even on our worst days we give it all! 💘

Happy Week of the young child!

For those of you who don’t know- week of the young child is a whole week dedicated to celebrating and recognizing the importance of early childhood and the people who support young children - families, teachers and communities.

We celebrated with various themes and activities led by the children. We got messy, made delicious snacks, worked together and celebrated with family!
