Herndon Magnet will be closed today, Friday, August 28, due to very low water pressure stemming from yesterday’s water main issue within the Blanchard Water System.

There is currently no estimated time for full restoration of water service. We will continue working with our utility partners and will share updates with families as additional information becomes available.

Update for Herndon Families

We know many of you are wondering about school tomorrow. At this time, we expect water service to be restored overnight and are hopeful that we will be able to have a normal school day tomorrow.

Caddo Parish Public Schools will assess the situation in the morning and make a final determination based on whether water service has been fully restored.

We will communicate with families as soon as we receive confirmation. Please watch for an update in the morning.

Our 8th grade ELA students are starting the year with a little inspiration! Students searched for words that are meaningful to them and created personal collages featuring their Six Words to Live By. These words represent the values, goals, and mindsets they want to carry with them throughout the school year and beyond.
