Upper Bay Budo Society is a place of disciplined study to practice Aikido, Daitō-ryū Aiki-jūjutsu, and Karate.
We cultivate continuous improvement by strengthening the body, sharpening the mind, and calming the spirit with focused energy. Aiki Martial Arts Institute is a 501-C Non-Profit organization that provides educational courses in traditional martial arts, self-defense fundamentals, and martial arts-influenced energy work. Sensei John Goss has over 50 years of martial arts experience and founded the Aiki Martial Arts institute in 1990. If you want Aiki in Maryland this is the place to find it.
Thanksgiving: The dojo will be closed Wed Nov 26th to Friday Nov 28th. Classes will resume Saturday Nov 29th.
The dojo will be closed Aug 29th to Sept 1st to celebrate the Labor Day weekend. Classes will resume Tuesday Sept 2nd.
The dojo will be closed July 5th for the Independence Day weekend.

The dojo will be closed Dec 24th and 25th for Christmas and Dec 31st and Jan 1st for the New Year.
