Dee’s Little Learners is proudly run by myself, Danielle Shriner. I obtained my BA in Elementary Education and possess a Maryland Teaching Certificate. After teaching in Harford County for 7 years and working as the Pre-K teacher at a daycare for one year, I have chosen to combine my passion for teaching with my passion for my family and become a home daycare provider where I can teach children, b

🔨🏗️ Construction Fun with Ms. Amy! 🦺👷‍♀️

Today we put on our construction hats and got to work! Our little builders practiced hammering and removing nails, then used magnetic blocks to construct their very own buildings. 🧱🏠

We also had fun practicing following directions and positional words like on, under, beside, and next to as we worked together to build and create!

So much hands-on learning, problem-solving, and construction fun! 🔨😊🏗️

We had so much fun with Thumbs Up Yoga with Ms. Laura today! 🧘‍♂️✨ We took turns choosing different pose cards to try and even helped Medi Teddy get into poses to match each card! 🐍🌳🐶🐪

We also had fun with scarves—moving calmly, dancing, practicing positional directions, and pretending to make popcorn POP! 🍿

We finished with some peaceful breathing practice, pretending our scarves were firecrackers. 🎇 It was a fun-filled morning of movement, listening, imagination, and mindfulness! 💛

Today we had so much fun during yoga with Ms. Laura of Thumbs Up Yoga!🌎🧘

We used our imaginations to think about where we would go if we could fly anywhere in the world. Then we took turns rolling a ball around a hoop representing the globe to see where it landed and practiced a yoga poses.

We also had fun making animals move on a colorful parachute before relaxing underneath it, staying still, and practicing our deep breathing to help calm our minds and bodies. 💙

Today we had so much fun with Ms. Amy! 🦁🐘🦒

We spent the day learning all about zoo animals! We built cages for the animals using magnetic blocks, matched toy animals to their picture cages, rescued the zoo animals, and listened to different animal sounds while guessing which animal made each one.

It was a day full of hands-on learning, problem-solving, and lots of animal fun! 💚

🎣🧘‍♀️ Yoga with Ms. Laura of Thumbs Up Yoga was full of fun today! We went on a fishing adventure, taking turns catching colorful fish and matching each one to a card with a yoga pose. We also practiced taking slow, deep breaths to help calm our minds and bodies. Such a fun way to build balance, focus, and mindfulness!

Christmas came a little early at Dee’s Little Learners! 🎄☀️📚

We had the sweetest time celebrating Christmas in July with a special author visit from Erin Heinlein, who read her delightful book, Beachside Sleigh Ride! The children loved the sunny twist on a Christmas story and were so excited to meet a real author.

We were also lucky to have Erin’s son, Hudson—the inspiration behind the book—join us for the fun! It made the visit even more special for our little learners.

A huge thank you to Erin and Hudson for spending the morning with us, sharing your story, and inspiring a love of reading and imagination. It was a day we’ll remember! ❤️📖

Today’s fun with Ms. Amy was all about Community Helpers! 👮🚒🩺🦷

The children had a great time using their imaginations as they role-played different community helpers, including firefighters, police officers, doctors, and dentists. Through dramatic play, they practiced helping others, built communication skills, and learned about the important people who keep our community safe and healthy.

Learning is always more fun when we can pretend! ❤️
