Day 3 Regionals Recap

Nora came out with a bang at her first regional competition, dominating in her semi final match. She earns a silver medal after losing an extremely close final match. 🥈

Sionna and Isabelle started off on opposite sides of the Cadet Red belt bracket. Although Isabelle did not advance in the preliminary rounds, Sionna dominated her semi final match to advance to finals. It was a very close final match, and she brings home the silver medal. 🥈

Sofia also dominated her semifinal match in the Cadet Red belt bracket. She had a tough final match but we are extremely proud of how much heart she had, fighting pound for pound. Way to earn that silver medal! 🥈

Andrew started his day winning the gold medal in board breaking out of 6 in his division, and also beat his breaking score from last year’s nationals! He also dominated in his semi final match in the sparring event. He brings home the silver medal in sparring after losing the second round by a tie. Close match! 🥇🥈

Nathan’s division was stacked. He had an outstanding performance in his preliminary round of 16, defeating his opponent to advance. He fought his heart out in his quarterfinal match and we are so incredibly proud of his performance today.

Total Medal Count for Regionals:

🥇 5 Golds
🥈 5 Silvers
🥉 3 Bronzes

Go Team Chang!

We just want to take a moment to recognize how proud we are of each athlete and the effort they brought to the mat.

Evan opened the day strong. What stood out most was his ability to adjust and fight his way back in round two. That shows maturity and awareness beyond just technique. The ending was a tough one, but matches like that build the kind of experience that pays off in big moments later.

Wyatt stepped in against a very experienced opponent and truly held his own. He went toe to toe and showed composure and determination. Even after the momentum shifted, he didn’t back down. That kind of grit is what we want to see and it will serve him well moving forward.

Danny faced a challenging matchup, but what impressed me most was his growth in listening and applying coaching in real time. That’s a huge step forward. Congrats on the bronze medal!

And Deliah - an outstanding performance. Competing at a high level and executing with control and dominance speaks volumes.
Congrats to our National Champion!

To all the parents - thank you for your continued support. Your encouragement and trust in the process make a difference. We’re building not just athletes, but confident, resilient individuals, and today was another step forward in that journey.

Deliah 🥇
Danny 🥉
