Last week, we celebrated eight truly exceptional individuals. Families, coaches and friends β some traveling from near and far β came together at The John Carroll School to honor our Athletics Hall of Fame inductees.
This celebration was also a reminder of the powerful vision we hold for the future. With visible investments in our programs and an unwavering commitment to excellence, weβre building on a strong foundation that these inductees helped build. We're developing exceptional teams and young people. At the heart of it all is the School's mission and core values of Patriots Athletics, guiding everything we do for our students, educators and coaches.
Again, congratulations to our inductees! You can watch a special video about each inductee here: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL-36zgYnBr5vVmS3t5TMpg0rCOlM_g40C&si=KeYzFsi6uXnkjP4m

An accomplished cheerleader, Serena Buontempo von Paris '09 made her mark both at The John Carroll School and on the professional stage. As a captain and vital team member of the School's Cheerleading Team, she honed the skills that would pave the way for an exciting career in the world of professional cheerleading.
Remarkably, Serena secured a coveted spot on the Baltimore Ravens Cheerleading Team in March of 2009 as a student at John Carroll and made history as one of the youngest members to be selected. She remained a member for 10 years, serving as Captain and Co-Captain, and performed at prestigious events such as Super Bowl XLVII and Pro Bowl in Hawaii. Her talent and dedication caught the attention of the NFL, leading to multiple selections for USO International Tours. As an NFL Ambassador, she proudly represented the organization abroad, sharing her passion for cheerleading on a global scale. Today, she continues to stay connected to the team as a member of the Baltimore Ravens Cheerleading Alumni Association.
Serena balanced her cheerleading career with earning her dental hygiene degree, to then working in a dental office and serving as the Director of Business Development for Maryland-based Von Paris Moving and Storage. She's also found joy in volunteering at the United States Naval Academy Museum.
Her husband, Sam von Paris β09, is also a John Carroll graduate. Serenaβs greatest joy comes from being a devoted mother to her two young sons that she hopes will be Patriots.
