One of the key things students learn in preschool is how to get along with other children! A full (but not overcrowded) class helps our teachers support the development of social skills in our students. We still have spaces in classes at this time and in order to fill those spaces, a marketing campaign is underway!

These yard signs are one part of this campaign. If you’d be willing to place one of these signs in your yard through July, please reach out to me via email [email protected]. You can pick one up at the preschool office or we will be happy to deliver one to you!

Meet the new director… Dr. Jennifer Palmer (who will go by Miss Jennifer with the students.)

Dr. Palmer is a retired Harford County Public Schools educator who has served in ten different schools in a variety of roles… from first grade teacher, to reading specialist, to administrator. She has state certifications in early childhood education, elementary education, administration, superintendent, and reading specialist.

She holds National Board Certification as an Early Childhood Generalist and teaches graduate students 10 hours a week for Wilmington University.

Dr. Palmer is a member of Christ Our King Church and lives in Abingdon with her husband Chris.

Christ Our King celebrated the retirement of Colleen Gambrill, director, yesterday! Everyone who interacted with Miss CeeCee knows how hard working and kind she is. Everyone here at the Preschool wishes her the very best in retirement!

HCPS Transportation Department visited our school with a real school bus!!! Here the TK class learns all about bus safety in preparation for Kindergarten. They loved it!

Our littlest learners, our 2's class, made stained glass. Using wax paper and tissue paper and putting them on the light table. WOW!
Great job!

The 3 day and 5 day 4's had an amazing trip to Eden Mill Nature Center. We participated in a field activity, visited some animal friends in the nature center, and was able to dig for tadpoles and other wetland creatures. It was a fun adventure.

Our 5 day 4's class learned about symmetry using butterflies. Also our paper caterpillars and clothespin caterpillars finally completed their metamorphosis. We have butterflies !!!!

They have emerged!!!!! All our caterpillars came out of their chrysalides. Ms. Suzie's and Ms. Jill's classes released them to find their new homes.
