I was watching part of Dwayne “the Rock” Johnson’s speech from D23, and he said this, and I thought it was beautiful.

It’s so easy to get caught up in the chase of all the accolades, and awards, and successes, but when it comes down to it, what really matters?

Motivation Monday!

This one is really important to me.

I remember reading once, about the importance of teachers addressing students by their name, especially when they first see them that day.

It could be the only time that child hears their name, or hears it spoken with joy. It could be the only time they feel acknowledged or seen during their day.

And that really stuck with me.

And it returns to the love of my students calling the studio their second home, and knowing they feel seen and valued in our space.

I may not know what’s going on in their day-to-day lives, but knowing the studio is a safe space is everything ❤️
