Today we proudly celebrate 19 YEARS OF EXCELLENCE AND PASSION in early childhood education! 🏆 For almost 2 decades The Goddard School of Bel Air has been a place where children feel loved, supported, and inspired. Our dedicated teachers, supportive families, and joyful learners make this community truly special! We’re grateful for every heart that has been apart of our village past, present, and future!

Our Chuck E. Cheese PTA Fundraiser Was A Success! 🤩

We celebrated our hard work through the first month of school with a Chuck E. Cheese night with our families! We kicked the morning off with a visit at school to get us excited for a fun afternoon of games and building community. Next up, we showed up ready to play interactive games, laugh with our friends, and enjoy some delicious pizza with our families. 💙 Thank you to all our families for supporting our school PTA!

The Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Moon Festival or Mooncake Festival, is a harvest festival celebrated in Chinese culture. 💛 It is believed that the moon is at its fullest and brightest on this day, coinciding with the time of harvest in the middle of autumn. Dating back 3,000 years, the Festival typically falls between mid-September and early October. 🍂

During the festival, lanterns of all sizes and shapes – symbolizing beacons that light the path toward prosperity and good fortune for the people – are carried and displayed. 🏮Mooncakes, a rich pastry typically filled with sweet-bean or lotus-seed paste, are eaten during this festival. 🥮 We enjoyed discovering about the World Around Us through exploration of the magnificent celebration tradition. ❤️

Back to School Night Success! 🌟

We are sending a HUGE THANK YOU to all our families who joined us for our Back to School Night last night! Starting the year with a strong partnership with families allows our teachers to understand the whole child and build beneficial home school connections! 💙✏️

Shout out to Chick-fil-A Bel Air for the wonderful donation of a special treat for our kiddos who attended care during back to school night! They got a crunchy snack of waffle chips and a visit with the cow mascot! Your support made for a great night! 🐄💕

Kindergarten readiness can show up in everyday moments, not just big milestones. A few signals to notice:

1. They’re building confidence to try things independently. Examples: walking into a room first, asking for help, or giving something new a try.

2. They’re starting to recognize the letters in their name, even if they’re not reading just yet.

3. They’re showing care and responsibility at home. This could include things like helping pack a bag, feeding a pet, putting away toys, or getting through part of their routine with a little more ease.

Every child grows at their own pace - and readiness looks different for every family. Their preschool teachers can be a great partner in noticing strengths, celebrating progress, and helping you think through what comes next.
