In observance of Juneteenth, all Coastal Bend College locations will be closed on Thursday, June 18. Regular business hours will resume Monday, June 22.

Juneteenth, officially Juneteenth National Independence Day, is a federal holiday observed annually on June 19. The day commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and serves as an important moment in our nation’s history.

Today, we honor and remember the brave men & women who made the ultimate sacrifice serving our country.

We are grateful for the freedom we have because of your sacrifice.

Our office is closed today, May 25th. We will be back in the office on Tuesday, May26th.

All Coastal Bend College locations will be closed this upcoming Memorial Day on May 25th. Our summer business hours will resume on Tuesday, May 26th.

Congratulations once again to all of our Spring 2026 graduates! We’re excited to begin sharing photos from last week’s celebrations and the incredible moments that made commencement week so special.

Tomorrow, commencement ceremony photos from Thursday, May 14 at 2:00 p.m. and Friday, May 15 at 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. will also be shared on Facebook.

Coastal Bend College has been recognized nationally for innovation in higher education.

CBC has received the 2026 Top Colleges for Innovation Award from Insight Into Academia magazine, honoring institutions leading transformative work in student success, workforce education, affordability, and community impact.

This recognition highlights innovative initiatives including the Coastal Bend Promise Program, the Cougar to Jaguar Rural Scholars Pathway partnership, workforce-aligned training partnerships, and flexible credential pathways designed to expand opportunity across South Texas.
