Notes from todays meeting:
-The group agreed to $150/ honoree fee. Cyndi Carrasco, our treasurer is researching payment methods and opening the bank account. We are going to put out information before the end of this week & a Google form for those interested in being an honoree. Payment plans will be accepted.
-Looking at a Dec/ Jan deadline to be paid in full so we can pay vendors.
- It was agreed upon that Jerry Martinez will be hired as the party planner, based on feedback from parents who used him for last year’s dance. His fee is $1500 to handle the planning, set up, and take down of the event.
- At the end of the meeting, there were some questions about if April 12 is available at the expo instead of the 19. We can ask the venue, however the planner is available on the 19. We are checking with him tomorrow if he is available the 12 should that be an option.
- we will set up a GroupMe for communication, we will add a sign up link to this page & send that info out to parents who are on the planning committee.
- More detailed conversations can occur once we get an idea of how many are interested in being an honoree. So we can have an idea of the budget.
- date of next meeting will be announced on FB & the GroupMe that will be set up.
