⚽🐾 A NEW CHAPTER BEGINS!

The Coastal Bend College Men’s Soccer program is ready to kick off the 2026 campaign with a new season, new faces, and plenty of Cougar pride!

Head Coach Justin Rodriguez and Assistant Coach Juan Demichelis lead a roster featuring a mix of returning experience and new talent, including 22 new players ready to make their mark.

🚨 The Beginning of Something Special: Cougars Make Program History ⚽🐾
Coastal Bend College Women's Soccer battled to a hard fought 2-2 draw against Corpus Christi FC 19s on Sunday, August 23rd with the Cougars showing resilience and determination from the opening whistle through the final minutes of the match.

The Cougars answered every challenge presented by Corpus Christi FC 19s, maintaining pressure while continuing to compete for scoring opportunities. Jyzel Gonzales opened the scoring for Coastal Bend, giving the Cougars an early boost and setting the tone for a competitive matchup.

Coastal Bend continued to battle on both sides of the ball, and Olivia Salas found the back of the net to give the Cougars their second goal of the afternoon. The timely scoring from Gonzales and Salas proved crucial as Coastal Bend fought to remain within striking distance throughout the match.

A major factor in the Cougars securing the draw was the outstanding performance of goalkeeper Addison Brewer. Brewer was exceptional between the posts, recording more than 25 saves while repeatedly turning away dangerous scoring opportunities from Corpus Christi FC 19s.

Brewer's performance kept the Cougars in the match during key moments and allowed Coastal Bend to continue battling for the result. Despite sustained pressure from the opposition, the Cougars remained composed defensively and refused to give up.

Both teams continued to battle until the final whistle, with Coastal Bend holding strong defensively to preserve the 2-2 draw.

The result showcased the Cougars' competitive spirit and determination, with timely goals from Gonzales and Salas complemented by Brewer's standout performance in goal.

Coastal Bend will look to build on the hard earned result as the Cougars continue preparing for their club season.
