🚓 Know Your Businesses Initiative 🚓

Today, officers with the Beeville Police Department spent some time at Little Bud’s Daycare at 1907 N. Adams as part of our Know Your Businesses Initiative.

When first responders are called to a business, school, or daycare, the little things can make a big difference — knowing the layout of the building, understanding emergency procedures, and already being familiar with the staff and facility before a stressful situation ever happens. That’s what this initiative is all about.

Because Little Bud’s is located directly across from A.C. Jones High School, we also invited Beeville ISD Police Chief Art Gamez to join the walkthrough, and he happily obliged. With BISD officers working nearby every day, it gave both agencies a chance to walk through the facility together, learn more about its operations, and become more familiar with the daycare should either agency ever need to respond there.

Throughout the time of our visit, officers toured the building, talked through safety and emergency procedures with staff, and got the opportunity to interact with the children as they went about their day. Our officers left genuinely impressed with how knowledgeable the staff is and the clear emphasis Little Bud’s places on the safety and security of their students through the procedures and equipment they have in place throughout the facility.
