DONATIONS NEEDED!

It has been very busy at our shelter as animals come pouring in and we were able to take a minute this morning to do an inventory check and we are low/out of a few things. We are hoping our village will help us out on a few items and as always, we always appreciate your generosity! Donations can be dropped of at our facility in the lobby during business hours or left at our main doors during after hours. We also updated our Amazon Wishlist for easy donating. Again, thank you!

Last week Passion For Animals was invited to be a ‘guest soeaker’ for elemenatry school students who are a part of an after school program at Monee Elementary School in Monee, IL.


Our hour long session started with a book reading of "Strictly No Elephants’ by Lisa Mantchev. The story follows a boy with an unusual pet: an elephant. Together, they learn the true meaning of friendship, belonging, inclusion conveys an important message about pets and people.

Students then worked tfwther to create individal face masks!

It was a fun afternoon! I look forward to our next adventure in March where we will build an outdoor cat shelter & learn about the world of our feline friends 🐾🐈🐈‍⬛😸🐘🐾

URGENT FOSTER NEEDED!!

Zeno 3 y/o and 67lbs. Sadly, his owner surrendered because she moved to a location where the landlord wouldn't allow him. Everyone just loves him. And he is so cute and wiggly, just look at that face! He LOVES people and other dogs.

Robert was left behind after his owner was taken from ICE. While he was obviously loved and cared for, his new caretaker needed some help getting him the basics. We covered Robert's neuter, vaccines, and an exam.

This is one of the heartbreaking times we could not keep a family together, but we're grateful to have kept Robert out of the shelter.

We’re looking for a family with a big heart to love our adorable bonded pair, Ellie & Leo! Ellie & Leo are 6 year old Miniature Pinschers who were relinquished when their owner no longer had time for them. Because they weren’t spayed/neutered, we had to keep them separated, but Leo wouldn’t even go outside without seeing his sister go. While we had hoped to reunite them quickly, Ellie suffered from pyometra , a deadly infection of the uterus due to not being spayed. Ellie was very sick, and we weren’t sure she would even survive. She spent a long time hospitalized before making a complete recovery. Unfortunately that wasn’t all Ellie was facing, she also had 3 mammary masses which were fully removed and the biopsy determined cancerous. Now that Ellie has recovered, the pair were reunited and oh my they have never smiled bigger! These 2 lovely little dogs love each other so much, we hope to find someone with a big enough heart to let them in. Ellie & Leo are friendly and playful, just lovely little dogs!
