Senior Parking Space Painting!

🏈 A BIG Hornet Thank You! 🧡🖤

We are incredibly grateful to Sara Williams and the entire crew at Penn Station on Emerson & Southport for generously providing a game day meal for our Beech Grove High School football team!

This marks the second year in a row that they have supported our Hornets with a meal, and we are so appreciative of their continued generosity and support of our student-athletes.

Thank you, Penn Station, for being such a great partner and for taking care of our Hornets! 🏈🥪

WHY I VOTE

At Beech Grove City Schools, our vision is a community where all students believe education is the way to change their world.

Part of that education is helping students understand what it means to have a voice, participate in their community, and recognize the rights and responsibilities that come with citizenship.

Jason Thornbury, SGM, USA (Ret.), Senior Army Instructor at Beech Grove High School, shares why he votes:

“I vote because I believe citizenship comes with both rights and responsibilities. My military service helped shape that belief. During my service in Afghanistan, I had the privilege of helping ensure that Afghan citizens could safely exercise their right to vote in their country’s inaugural presidential election. Seeing people participate in that process—many for the first time—gave me an even greater appreciation for a right that can sometimes be taken for granted here at home.

To me, voting is more than a right; it is a civic duty. We may not always agree on candidates, policies, or the direction our community and country should take, but I believe everyone should participate, make their voice heard, and take an active role in our democracy.”

Education can change our world. So can using our voice.
