Mrs Cheri, one of our SPED teachers, is having a wonderful time with Searcy itinerant students yesterday.
This activity highlights the importance of hands-on learning in developing letter recognition skills in preschool children. By engaging with colorful, tactile letters and matching them to a visual guide, the child is actively building familiarity with letter shapes and forms. This type of interactive play supports early literacy by strengthening visual discrimination, fine motor skills, and letter identification. As children manipulate and explore the letters in a fun and meaningful way, they begin to make connections that lay the foundation for reading and writing success.
