Meet Daniel Ballinger, a high school track and field athlete from Arkansas, as he prepares for the 2026 Patriot Games. This nationwide competition, part of the America 250 celebration, gathers top athletes to compete for a $250,000 scholarship prize.

Congratulations to Cadet Daniel Ballinger!!He will represent the state of Arkansas in the upcoming Patriot Games in Ohio. This event will be broadcast on ESPN and there will be a 1 hour prime time special on ABC on August 13th. This competition includes a scholarship pool of $250,000.

Former cadet Steven Beeck is going through Army basic training at Fort Benning Georgia. He joined the Arkansas National Guard during his senior year. Great pictures!!

Officer Greg Meharg is one of our School Resource officers in Beebe Public Schools. He is currently the president of the Arkansas Safe Schools Association. For the last several years he has invited us to present colors at their annual conference. As always our cadets are honored to work this event. It looked more crowded than last year. It is difficult to get pictures!

I had the honor of re-enlisting one of my former cadets yesterday. SrA Taylor Johnson re-enlisted in the back of a C-130 at Little Rock AFB. Our former Instructor Chief Marsh attended the ceremony as well. I can’t believe she is on her second enlistment! Congratulations Taylor!
