We are so happy to introduce our new Upper Learning Center monitor, Mrs. Karen Riley!

Originally from Tennessee, Mrs. Riley moved to Indiana after marrying her husband in 2005 and has called it home for over 20 years. As a graduate of an ACE school, she loves to encourage students who are on a similar educational path. Mrs Riley and her husband have two children, whom she homeschooled for several years before they attended SCCA. She has enjoyed volunteering and serving in various substitute roles over the past few years and is excited to join the staff. She looks forward to being an educational and spiritual support to students.

In her free time, she enjoys gardening and sewing, is an avid reader, and will try just about any creative pursuit.

As we lock up the school building for the summer, we would be remiss to not honor one of our teachers, Mrs. Denae Miller. After 5 years of pouring her heart into the students of SCCA, Mrs. Miller is leaving the classroom to further her own education. She has been pursuing her M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through Liberty University Online while continuing to teach at SCCA and maintaining excellent academic performance. Now, the time has come for her to step beyond the walls of SCCA and begin applying her newly acquired skills in a broader professional setting. During her tenure at SCCA, Mrs. Miller served as volleyball coach, drama teacher, and an English expert. She will be dearly missed for her Monday morning devotionals, her "real talk", and her love for our students.
Thank you, Mrs. Miller, for making SCCA a better place!
