My two elementary daughters have the kindest hearts and are in the business of giving back!

Ever wonder how we keep all Angel Tree children in need anonymous to their peer sponsors? Well this is what it looks like! Once the child in needs interest form is completed, I assign them a number. I then fill out one of these angel tree tags with ALL of the information provided to me. I then give their sponsor the tag to shop with and return with their gifts so that it all stays anonymous!
If a sponsor has questions regarding their child in need, they reach out to me, I contact the parents of the child in need and relay the answer to them! 🫶🏼

Shout out to Copy Trolley in Bedford! Last night I ran out of Angel Tree tags! This morning I tasked them with getting me some more ASAP so I can hopefully have the tags to their owners tomorrow at school! Not only did they get them to me speedy quick, they also donated the tags to the cause!
Thankful for a community filled with kindness and generosity!

🎄 Angel Tree Update 🎄
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving break!
Over break I sorted through Angel Tree forms and am so blessed to share that we ended up having more sponsors than children in need which is a great problem to have and we are so thankful for our school families willing to step up in a time of need!
With that being said, I’ve had people asking when they’ll be sent out to sponsor students!
My goal is to have all assigned and sent home by the end of the week! 🙂

It has been brought to my attention that the Shawswick Angel tree has been a topic of discussion through the halls this week, including with my girls, the creators of the school Angel tree.
Many have been wondering if we will be hosting the Angel tree exchange this year and although I had decided I may not be able to take on the project again this year, I have been reminded that these kids are only little once and have a handful of Christmas’s they’ll get to enjoy.
So with that being said, if you have a Shawswick Elementary Student, be on the lookout for Angel Tree information coming home this week.
Teachers, this year I will have some communication coming directly to you, Thank you so much for playing the middle man in this project!
If anyone has any questions please feel free to reach out.
If anyone would like to support, we appreciate all of the support we can get. Last year was filled with blessings with the exact amount of peer sponsors for the exact amount of children in need. However if anyone would like to donate NEW clothing items or toys please reach out or if you would like to make a monetary donation in support of the project we do keep a small fund (mainly funded by me) in an account for potential project needs such as wrapping paper, tape, additional toys, clothing ect.

I hope every Shawswick student wakes up with a little something under the tree on Christmas Day. Gifts are not the reason for the season but caring for others is never wrong.

We’ve officially delivered our last couple of Angel Tree gifts. Our elf duty is done and we are overjoyed! Thankful and grateful for every hand that helped the girls accomplish this project. We hope every child feels recognized and loved on Christmas Day!
Special thank you to Dr. Piper who spent her entire Thursday helping me sort and organize gifts. The office staff for letting me take over their space and helping me distribute.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas for the Shawswick Elementary Angel tree kids! The deadline to return Angel tree gifts is 12/19, however you may return to the school anytime between now and then! 🫶🏼

The Monday deadline REALLY put me into overdrive this evening! I’ve made the list and checked it twice and hopefully, I didn’t mess it up! 🤞🏼 😅
We officially had 45 students in need and 58 student SPONSORS, that’s not counting all the teachers and staff that reached out as well! With combining households (to the best of my ability) I was able to double up siblings to make sure that every student family(who wanted to sponsor) was able to sponsor a student!
I can’t say enough how thankful I am for the support my girls are seeing with this project! We set up the physical tree in the lobby of the school with the idea that any unsponsored child’s list could be hung there for a community sponsor to pick up but we don’t have a single student list needing to be hung on the tree! That in itself speaks volumes for the Farmer community! 💜🫶🏼
Although my eyes are crossed and fingers are sore from writing and cutting this evening. A task I took on without the girls to maintain the privacy of their peers in need(even to them as the tree hosts.) I know they’re going to be THRILLED to deliver the lists to their assigned sponsors tomorrow at school!

If your child filled out a form to be a sponsor for the shawswick elementary angel tree project, check their backpacks tomorrow as I am hopeful the teachers are able to send them all home tomorrow before the start of break! Instructions are on the back of your sponsor listing!

🎄 Update 🎄
We have decided to extend the deadline for forms to be turned in until Monday! When sorting forms today after yesterday’s deadline I realized that due to sickness, kiddos forgetting, ect, some were unable to submit their forms in time! We want no child to be left behind so our new deadline will be Monday! If you are a Shawswick Elementary Parent, staff member, or friend. Please share this post to get the word out! It may remind parents to double check their students backpacks and get all forms returned in time!
I am blessed to share that as of now, we currently have more peer sponsors than we do students in need! This may change due to extending the deadline but what a blessing to have! 💜
I will continue sorting, pairing up sponsors with students in need and sending information home for peer sponsors over the next week! Keep an eye out in your students bags!💜

We’ve really started to see a lot of forms being sent in for our angel tree and we can’t wait to get started! Tomorrow is the last day for students to return forms whether it be to request Christmas assistance or to sponsor a peer!
I would like to say that the amount of peer sponsors has already made my heart happy! We are grateful we have a community wanting to help! 💜💜
